Friendship, travel
So I wanted to meet my dearest college friend Soni. We were close in college and became closer at our first workplace. We were at the same location for training. Then we we moved to different companies and then different cities.
So we had hardly met in last few years, yet the modern day technology kept us close through phones and social media. It was end of the year and both of us wanted a break from routine life. Besides sharing each others secret, we do share common interest in travelling. She lived in Gurgaon and I lived in Bangalore. We decided to meet in Goa on a 5 day trip.
Goa where we could be lost in nature and attend late night parties too. It is overwhelming to meet a person so close , after such a long time, a person who has seen you grow and has grown with you.
All of us have one friend who knows us in and out, who we trust with our darkest thoughts and actions, without the fear of being judged. Soni is that kind of friend, we resonate thoughts, it is like when we are having a conversation, we can complete each other's sentence, though we do have our share of arguments too, but we choose to ignore them 😛. Ahh I thought of writing about my travel experience, but when I started writing I realized, meeting my bestie was the grander event. The trip was much more about celebration of friendship.
It did sound crazy to others that only two of us are going, but we were super excited. It is super freedom when you travel with your girl friend, you know you wont have any restrictions, she would be there for all your tantrums, she will be there to praise your choice of dresses and makeup, and enhance them with her precious input.
So the trip started and we met at Dabolim airport and the insane trip started. We could not find a cab and the last bus was about to leave, so we hopped on the last bus to Calangoute, rejoicing that we skipped long queue and high fare 😜, but the joy did not last long, as we discovered no seats were available and the route was of two hours. Ahh but the company of my wonderful friend transformed the long, tiring journey into joyous and memorable. This made me predict days ahead will be insanely awesome and I was right.
