The Joy of Preparation for Shopping

Me and my flatmate had week old plan of visiting our shopping destination on weekend.
It started with getting ready in the coolest outfit, I could find in my wardrobe. Trying and experimenting different  combination of dresses. This is one of the few things, which gives me an instant high. Me and my flatmate were in full swing, My whole wardrobe was spread on floor. The view of my all beautiful dresses, made me excited and happy and confused :P. You see I was spoilt by the excess of options. It was tough to decide on one particular combination of dresses.
I started with shrug  and then selected the  top and shorts that would suit it.

Then came the shoes selection part, which was comparatively easier, due to lesser choices available suiting the outfit. And now handbag selection, again easier as I wanted to flaunt the new and unused, for which I had prepared my outfit. And then came the other interesting part.....the makeup. Whooaah my dull Saturday was now alive. The sun had started to set , but my day had just started to shine. I was on the energy level of a full blown sun. I had been sleeping all day, and then  the moon planned to come out, so did my sunshine. 

The makeup, again there is so less you can use  from the vast and beautiful collection you have. There are so many beautiful colours of lipstick, and yet you can apply one just one, varieties of nailpolish, and you choose one. Applying liner on your eyes, feels like skecthing  curves with colours. Spreading the foundation on my face feels like, painting the sky with even clouds. Colouring my lips, highlighting my eyes and cheeks, and every single step of make-up feels like doing some art. The end result may and may not be beautiful, but the process itself enriches my heart and soul.
 
Now we did some photo session to capture, the end result of our hard work , which was like capturing a moment of joy and pride forever. 

And so a pretty and energetic me  was ready to step out to a magical place called market with my beautiful flatmate. We booked a cab headed towards our destination. Unfortunately the crowded and jammed roads of Bangalore could not make or journey beautiful, but we did had a hearty conversation, which is the advantage of having a company. And then we reached our place, The Kormangala, the enrgy of the crowd brought our excitement and energy back.

Realisation hits a lonely soul

So I came to a new country last week to settle for a year. The office remains almost same as in India, a little less facilities may be e.g. no free coffee vending machines. Singapore it is. I was excited about this. I always wanted to settle into a new country on my own. I always wanted to see the life abroad.  I was super excited.  I was earning and saving decent in India and had a higher paying job offer, and many close friends there. So I wanted to meet my dearest college friend Soni. We were close in college and became closer at our first workplace. We were at the same location for training. Then we we moved to different companies and then different cities. So we had hardly met in last few years, yet the modern day technology kept us close through phones and social media. It was end of the year and both of us wanted a break from routine life. Besides sharing each others secret, we do share common interest in travelling. She lived in Gurgaon and I lived in Bangalore.
