Review - "Born Free"

The web short movie "Born Free"  went viral in just a week. Many of my thoughtful friends did forward me this movie. They were some really talented people, having some special skills like singing and dramatics. I understand that they would have felt moved by this short film. But at the same time as an individual who does not posses some special skill, I could not connect much to this.
Let me tell you my talented friends are earning fortunes in corporate jobs and are most of the time excited about their work. They do give time to their hobbies in free time. I don't know how much time and dedication they would have needed to earn even the half amount through their hobbies. So what I think is , people do corporate jobs or business  as easy methods to earn livelihood. I don't find anything wrong in this. I agree Sumeet Vyas was just too involved in his work and the same goes for the other government officer character. They should have earned money through their jobs or any other work to have accessibility to basic necessities of life. They should have however understood that our profession does not define us.

All of us should have some skills through which we can add value to the society and so to take favors in exchange, which is today interpreted as currency. But this currency is just a part of our life. There are many more aspects to life. We have become obsessed with our profession and salary. This thought limit the joys and possibilities of life. We give all our energy to our professions. We measure our success just by the salary or monetary profit. We never think in terms of impact we are creating to the world. I think the world does not need to find their passion , but the world needs to slowdown their pace of career and give more time for life experiences, family friends, nature, hobbies. The people residing in the world would be much happier and content with time for themselves. Their obsession and self inflicted miseries would end. The rates of suicide and criminal activities would decrease, once the world slows down and start enjoying their own pace. It is not important to turn your hobby into a means to earn money. The important part is to have time for your hobby, to relish your hobby and  not to turn your hobby again into a new concern. Indulge in your hobby for sheer pleasure it provides without the concern if it would be able to give you the money for next month. There is nothing wrong in having a job that serves the world and the world pays you back to fulfill your needs. Let your profession not define you. You are more than your job. Do not over dedicate your life to your profession. Have a fulfilling and happy life. Happiness is the goal and not the perfect profession.
